One Elders Award Winners – March

Scott Fleetwood, Shane Verbeek, and Bruce McLeish are the winners of the One Elders March Awards, for demonstrating exceptional performance across sales, operations and safety.

Scott Fleetwood, Territory Sales Manager at Jamestown, has been congratulated with the One Elders Safety award for his role in initiating a new safety system that will potentially prevent fork lift accidents.

“Wearing vests in the warehouse always seems to be an oversight so I came up with a quick solution to remind people to wear them,” says Scott.

“Safety is spoken about in our branch and is probably highlighted by the fact that the majority of the team now have children so the importance of getting home safely is a must,” he says.

“Hopefully everyone takes the safety message seriously and if they see something or have an idea to make something safer they’ll do it.”

In operations, Shane Verbeek, Senior Sales Support Officer at Bendigo, has been recognised with the One Elders Operational Performance award for his innovative approach to addressing customer enquiries, leading to a reduction in phone calls and increased customer satisfaction. As part of his strategy, Scott has been introducing clients to an online account management system which has allowed them to access information more readily, and provide feedback easily.

“This award comes from a great team effort,” says Scott.

“We worked together to capture the key issues our clients have been having and took a proactive approach to reducing these issues and consequent enquiries,” he says.

“We have integrated many of our clients onto Elders’ Online Client Portal (now Elders Online) which has allowed them to access information 24 hours a day. We’ve managed to improve our client relationships and, most valuable, gain feedback to ensure that we remain relevant to our clients and are giving them the assistance they need.”

Bruce McLeish, Zone Wool Manager – North, is a well-known face in the Elders network and within the wool industry. He is well-recognised for the value that he add to the Northern wool team, and sets a strong example to his colleagues on how to deliver a high level of customer service.

Bruce was awarded the One Elders Sales Performance Award in recognition for the work he does to improve productivity and deliver strong results for his clients. He actively promotes the Elders offering, ensuring that his clients are covered for all of their needs, not just Wool.
