Recognising dedication with One Elders

The One Elders Awards program recognises and rewards employees and teams whose performance and safety outcomes significantly contribute to business results, and demonstrate our values-based culture. Each month Elders recognises a high achiever in the area of sales, operations and safety who has demonstrated our values of integrity, customer focus, accountability, team work, and innovation.

One Elders Operational Performance Award
Linley Lee – West zone

Agri finance officer Linley Lee, played a key role in servicing an overseas client, resulting in a successful loan for a very time-sensitive farm purchase. Linley persevered against numerous challenges, including working in a different time zone to her client and dealing with new foreign policy laws, with patience and understanding. Her passion for her role shows through her commitment each day and leads to excellent client service.

Linley says that she has always had a strong work ethic and passion for what she does, which drives her to be proactive.

“A can-do attitude helps me go above and beyond to achieve successful outcomes both for the client, external stakeholders, Rural Bank & Elders,” says Linley.

“I love working in Ag; our clients put their heart and soul into what they do, work hard, enjoy the simple things in life, have a passion for the land, nature and outdoors just like I do. I’m also lucky to be given opportunities and trusted with challenges, with an excellent team to keep up the laughs and help each other out.”

One Elders Sales Performance Award
Matt Ward – Barmera

Operating with the philosophy of providing science based agronomy advice, Matt has earned the trust of his clients and the respect of his colleagues in South Australia and across the network. He recently stepped in to assist a trainee agronomist, providing the support they needed whilst maintaining a high standard of service for his existing clients. Matt consistently focuses his efforts on providing training and support to those around him for the betterment of his area.

Matt says that it he gets a lot of satisfaction from having a large and loyal client base who trust his advice.

“My main aim is to provide sound science based agronomy to clients basing sales off of this information. Helping clients go from being unviable/low earn to quite successful businesses based on my advice over the years is something I strive for with all clients.”

Safety Award
Jennifer Rodwell – Bunbury 

Prompted by a medical incident in her branch, Jenny was proactive in making changes in the office to ensure that quick action could be taken in future. Jenny’s response showed consideration for everyone’s well-being, above and beyond the requirements of her role.

Jenny says that feeling prepared is for emergency is a critical part of ensuring that the team are taking care of one another.

“Looking out for each other in the work place is a number one priority of mine, so ensuring that medical alerts and emergency contacts were in a safe place for easy access has put our team’s minds at rest.”

“As a team we all learnt from this emergency. We debriefed, made a plan and actioned that plan, and now feel confident that our team is prepared for any future emergencies.”
