Elders sets new Poll Hereford record

Elders has set a new record at the Dubbo Poll Hereford National this week, selling the sale topper bull for a record $90,000.

The Elders stud stock team sold the South Australian bull, Day’s Calibre G74, from Day’s Whiteface at Bordertown, South Australia, breaking the previous Poll Hereford National record of a reported $85,000.

Elders stud stock specialist Andy McGeoch was in attendance on the day and said the results reflected the strength of the Elders Network.

“Elders sold 58 of the 64 Poll Herefords offered in their catalogue, achieving the highest average selling price for the day at $7,448,” said Mr McGeoch.

“These results reflect the expertise and relationships we have with our clients, and the strength in our network,” he said.

“Elders branches from across the network supported the sale on the day, including Broken Hill, Glen Innes, Walcha, Orange and Dubbo.”

Elders sold Day’s Calibre G74 to Bowen Poll Herefords at Barraba, New South Wales, in conjunction with Melville Park Hereford Stud at Vasey, Victoria.
