Elders’ trading portfolio gets new identity

Elders has a long history of matching trading opportunities between primary producers and world markets and for the first time, the growing Elders trading portfolio will have its own identity: Elders International Trading.

The new identity incorporates the Company’s long running and successful trading businesses across dairy and beef breeding and beef feeding live export, feedlot operations, wool trading and in country operations in Indonesia and China.

Elders Group General Manager Tony Dage said the change reflects the global scope of its trading activities whilst highlighting their position within Elders alongside its domestically focused Network operations in Australia and New Zealand.

“Elders International Trading continues to experience significant growth and its businesses are poised to take advantage of future offshore opportunities,” Mr Dage said.

“Elders International Trading is structured for, and responding to, the many agricultural opportunities that exist as international markets continue to develop and communities urbanise.  Governments and customers are looking to source the best quality and most consistent agricultural products and services from Australia, New Zealand and other international origins and our businesses are positioned to serve that demand,” he said.

Elders’ trading businesses anticipates sales exceeding $450 million this financial year with the vast majority of this from offshore customers in diverse international geographies.

Tony Dage says the linkage between Elders International Trading and the Elders’ Network operations is strong and underpins our confidence in continuing to fulfill international demand.

“Elders International Trading has a dynamic commercial team operating from a number of locations across the globe and conducts a diverse range of business including the export of live dairy, beef breeding and beef feeder cattle, wool trading, in-country operations in both China and Indonesia and domestic feedlot operations,” Mr Dage said.

“It is the strength of the Elders name, and the international capability of our trading team that when combined, creates a powerful business that competes – and succeeds – on the world stage,” he said.
