Elders Trainee Program nationally recognised
The Elders Trainee Program has been recognised nationally by the Federal Government’s Australian Training Awards in the Top Three Employer of the Year category for 2015 and 2016.
The awards showcase best practice across all industries and are the peak national awards recognising individuals, businesses and registered training organisations for their contribution to skilling Australia.
Elders was recognised along with Crown Resorts and their 1300 trainees and apprentices, and a not-for-profit group training organisation specialising in employment and training of more than 500 apprentices and trainees.
Judges were impressed by the continued desire of Elders branches and management to be involved in training the future of the Elders business. The unique Trainee Program has been designed by Elders’ operational employees and customised by Wodonga TAFE to meet the required Government Certificate IV criteria and then delivered by experienced client facing Elders team members.
Recognition of the training program is a credit to the Elders network and all those involved; operational employees, sales support, workshop presenters and the team that have referred potential trainees.
The next intake of the Elders Trainee Program is now open for applications. The program focuses on developing skills and knowledge through valuable hands-on experience, online learning programs, and face-to-face workshops, which collectively concentrate on the livestock and wool industry.
