Elders Cranbrook’s branch manager scores award for delivering sales with a smile

Elders Cranbrook’s Dan Barbour has won the Company’s national award for sales performance this month, crediting good old fashioned customer service and a friendly face.

Working as branch manager, Barbour was recognised for exceptional commitment to his clients in servicing their needs.

He says that the key for him is remaining client focused with a high level of support.

“I find that when you treat your clients well and offer them the support they need, word is passed along. A strong reputation is the backbone of our business,” said Mr Barbour.

“We have clients who are lovely to work with and value our expertise. They understand the value of supporting their local and we show them the same courtesy by supporting them.”

As well as maintaining supportive customers, Barbour concentrates on filling the branch with good people. He explains that they are a small team who are all focused on delivering the best outcome together.

“We’re like a family. We jump into each other’s shoes all the time, but we work well together to get the job done,” said Mr Barbour.

General Manager – West Zone, James Cornish, says that customer focus is an integral value in the Elders business.

“We pride ourselves on structuring our business decisions around what our clients need and Dan embodies this approach,” said Mr Cornish.

“The success that Dan has brought to his branch proves that you can’t underestimate the value earning a solid standing in the community.”

Cranbrook is bracing for an exciting few months with an agreement for Elders to be a distributor of CSBP fertiliser beginning in October. This will open doors for the branch to extend their product offering for clients.

“The new business with CSBP is really exciting because of its gives more variety to our product offering, making us better able to service our clients and add even more value to our branch,” said Mr Barbour.

“I’m really happy to receive this award. It reflects back on the support I receive from my team and

my clients who make it easier to go that extra mile every day.”

Along with national recognition Mr Barbour is now in the running for an annual award at the Elders
awards dinner this December in Adelaide.
