Camp Quality's 1000k's for kids sponsorship

This month, Northern and Southern Zones along with Real Estate, generously sponsored Camp Quality in their huge 1000km ride from Benalla VIC to Newcastle NSW, to help raise funds for kids living with cancer.

Elders Albury played a key part in supporting this initiative, generating over $700 on top of the sponsorship spend, some of which was raised by selling raffle tickets at the opening of the new Walla Walla store. Funds went directly to fuel costs for the support cars who follow the riders and ensure everyone is fed, hydrated and healthy.

On the whole, the 1000k’s for kids initiative has managed to raise over $475’000.

Pictured above – the riders with the Elders Albury team who showed exceptional support for the cause (R). And Jason Pearce who played an active role is promoting the sponsorship, and arranged for a donating of $2000 from a bull sale to go towards the charity.

Hay Sheep Sale

Congratulations to the team at Hay who conducted a very successful sheep sale in recent weeks. The sale grossed $5.5 from 54’000 sheep requiring a huge effort from the branch. Special mention to Alex Curtis for organising the sheep for sale, John Fitzpatrick for the guidance and direction in the lead up, and Peter Head and Bruce Summers for the livestock support and team work.

Rand Trial Site

Another great example of Elders technical services teams adding extra value to their clients was the field day at Rand Trial Site, run by Desi Toohey at Albury with an attendance of over 100 clients and staff. Educating those in attendance about wheat varieties and time of sewing, barley varieties, barley disease control, liquid fertilizers, broadleaf weed control in wheat, grass weed control in wheat, disease in lentils and disease in faba beans, this day was a testament to the knowledge, experience and dedication of those involved.

R U Ok Day

A huge thank you to everyone who recognised R U Ok Day this year by showing their support in branch or by simply asking the question to someone who could be struggling with mental health.

Shout out to the Killara team, the Donnybrook Real Estate branch, and Kate Shooter and Alex Haig from Jandowae, who took time in their busy days to ask R U Ok? with their new Mateship Manuals.

Country Eagles get a win
