Supercharging agri-growth with Australia’s best and brightest
This week, Elders announced the expansion of our technical services offering to include a brand new commercial advisory business – Thomas Elder Consulting (TEC) – and flagship research and development arm to be known as the Thomas Elder Institute (TEI).
This new specialist agricultural consulting business and a leading R&D division, will further cement Elders’ position at the forefront of Australian agri-innovation, while simultaneously evolving our product offering to provide our customers access to unique, value-add initiatives.
Thomas Elder Consulting, will be an independent arm of our business complete with highly specialised consultants who will offer whole farm management advice across all areas of a client’s operation.
We will appoint around 20 specialist advisers across Australia over the coming 18 months to deliver a premium, all-encompassing consultancy model comprising expertise in the areas of farm business planning, benchmarking, water scheduling, precision agriculture, decision agriculture, livestock production and agronomy.
Meanwhile, our newly constituted Thomas Elder Institute will apply for, secure and facilitate funding and investment in strategic research programs while building and securing new partnerships with universities and research institutions, multinational and national suppliers, government research and development agencies, and farming systems groups.
This expansion of our technical services offering is a multi-million dollar investment in the future of our business and while it will be structured around a technology triangle model, it will also complement our extensive retail network of advisers to stimulate further growth for our iconic agribusiness and farming clients.
This expanded and diversified technical services offering will cultivate a best-in-class culture across the Elders business, assist our staff to become the best they can be, and provide an interesting and attractive career path with an array of opportunities.
