West Wyalong’s Bud Cameron wins award for exceptional client focus

Bud Cameron is a relatively new addition to the Elders network but is already making a difference to local producers.

Just eight months into his new role as Farm Supplies Rep at West Wyalong, this month Mr Cameron was recognised for his dedication to the branch and its clients winning Elders’ national Sales Performance Award.

Hard work and a focus on relationships both in-branch and with clients saw Mr Cameron recognised nationally amongst his peers.

Productivity of the West Wyalong team has doubled from this time last year and Bud attributes a renewed energy and attitude towards work.

“The biggest thing for me is building and maintaining relationships,” says Mr Cameron.

“After a tough couple of seasons, it’s been a challenge to get clients back in the door, but we are regaining confidence and are back on track,” he said.

Mr Cameron centres all of his relationships on key values, prioritising his integrity above simply making a sale.

“Being honest and maintaining credibility have a big influence on how I operate,” he said.

“Whatever you tell a client you’re going to do, you need to commit and follow up, or that element of trust is broken.”

Malcolm Hunt, General Manager – South, says that Bud has contributed significantly

towards improving the reputation and culture of the Elders branch in West Wyalong.

“Bud is already a leader in his team who plays an active role in fostering a winning culture in his branch,” says Mr Hunt.

“His attitude towards relationships with clients and colleagues, combined with a focus on reaching targets has been a winning combination that is bound to continue to benefit the local community,” he said.

Looking forward, Bud says that the branch is continuing to work with integrity and customer focus, to support their clients.

“We have a mixture of qualities that each staff member brings to the table, and when we support each other and work towards the same goal, the puzzle comes together”.

“Everything is looking up for us here. I’m excited by the challenge of continuing our growth by supporting our clients and maintaining strong team morale.”
