Elders Esperance named branch of the year

Elders Esperance has been named Elders’ national “Pink Shirt Branch of the Year” award winner for 2014.

A renewed focus on clients, use of innovative technology and a 270 per cent turnaround in profit saw Elders Esperance recognised above more than 200 branches across Australia at a recent awards ceremony in Adelaide.

The team of 17 was awarded for its high levels of performance across the areas of safety, sales and displaying Elders’ company values.

Accepting the award on behalf of the branch at the ceremony, rural property sales specialist Rob Johnstone said the branch is proud of the award which reflects the hard work from across the Esperance team.
“As a team, we have worked extremely hard to rebuild the Elders brand in the Esperance region,” Mr Johnstone said.

“This award acknowledges not only the great team within our branch, but also our new and ongoing loyal clients, who make our jobs so rewarding,” he said.

“We’ve been working to implement innovative solutions for our clients, such as the use of drones to observe weeds in crops and developing trial cropping sites to test research and development.”

Western zone general manager, James Cornish said that the branch was a deserving winner, being the highest performing branch in Elders across a range of criteria.

“The Esperance branch has made a significant turnaround in their approach to business throughout 2014 and this award is testament to their achievements as a team,” Mr Cornish said.

“Positive performance results across every product meant Esperance outperformed the rest of the state, despite Elders’ western zone achieving a 78 per cent profit improvement on the previous year,” he said.

“Safety has also been a key focus for the team, implementing traffic management systems and improving loading zones on-site in Esperance.”

The team at Elders Esperance service local customers across Real Estate, Livestock, Banking, Merchandise, Wool, Agronomy, Animal Husbandry, Insurance, and Grain Marketing.
