Elders and CSBP an enduring partnership for quality service

As the owner of a fifth-generation farming business and a father of three, Northam local Anthony Haddrill is a man with little time to spare. But according to Anthony, Elders has helped make life a lot easier for the Haddrills by taking their annual fertiliser order with CSBP off their hands.

“We’ve had our farming business since 1882 and my grandfather would deal with CSBP directly to organise the 100 tonnes of fertiliser we need for the farm each year,” Mr Haddrill said.

“Now that Elders has become a CSBP fertiliser agent and can organise it for us, it’s become a much simpler and more efficient process.

“We trust the team at Elders. It’s always such a smooth process – from order to pick-up, it‘s all sorted within 48 hours.”

Elders became a distribution agent for CSBP in 2016. CSBP is the largest player in Western Australia’s $850 million fertiliser industry, and CSBP’s locally-developed fertiliser products are based on ongoing field research, so they’re tailor-made for Western Australian conditions.

Elders Northam Agronomist Cameron Smith said the partnership with CSBP complements and boosts Elders’ client offering and comprehensive range of farm supplies.

“Each Elders branch has a local agronomist who works alongside a CSBP area manager to provide the best nutritional and soil advice for clients, which is backed up by years of research, trialling and testing conducted in the area,” Mr Smith said.

“Beyond coordinating fertiliser orders for our clients, Elders also provide soil and tissue testing, whole farm advice and support, and a suite of agronomy services for crop and pasture production.”

Elders Northam Area Manager Jason Clarke said the competitive price of the CSBP product is also a key factor that attracts new clients and keeps existing clients happy.

“Our service ensures we are aware of the available deals on the market and we are always working to give our clients the best value for money. CSBP has several market offers and flexible payment options, and we ensure our clients receive the full benefits they’re entitled to,” Mr Clarke said.

Anthony Haddrill echoed Mr Clarke’s sentiment.

“I’m confident Elders has the best price on the market and it’s nice to know that we don’t need to shop around,” Mr Haddrill said.

When it comes to the best time to get in touch with Elders for CSBP fertiliser services, Cameron Smith says anytime is a good time but there are certain dates to bookmark in the calendar.

“The September to February period is a key time to plan and forecast for the season ahead. Post-harvest, we meet with clients in the paddock to test the soil and assess any nutrient requirements or deficiencies that need to be resolved for successful growth in the year ahead,” said Mr Smith.
