Innovative digital selling platform continues

Elders’ stud stock sales specialist, Josh Crosby has found is a perfect fit for many of his clients spread across NSW.

“Instead of everyone carting cattle to one location to hold a sale we can simultaneously sell stock from all over the state in one go and unlike traditional sales, runs over seven days which allows interested buyers a chance to inspect cattle while the sale is running if needed,” he said.

“If a buyer is outbid on a lot, this also gives them time to research and/or inspect another lot. The vendors loved the concept and were very excited to try something new, and they found the site very user friendly,” Josh explained. allows clients who may not have enough numbers to run a stand-alone sale and is today hosting a multi-vendor, multi-breed central west feature sale with bulls and females, which will run for the next seven days.

The site can be tailored to fit a client or event and has previously partnered with the Royal Flying Doctor Service for the RFDS winter ball.

The RFDS traditionally ran a silent auction using pen and paper at the event and this year used to offer 17 premium silent auction items in the lead up to the event. The silent online auction ran for six days prior to the ball and donated $23,500 to the RFDS.

Suppliers of the generous donations for the silent online auction were able to view how many buyers had visited their items page, as well as the number of bids received, just as vendors can when selling livestock.

The unique and versatile sales platform enables vendors to market and sell stock and genetics in a way never seen before and buyers now have access to a range of quality stock to purchase in a transparent environment without having to leave their property.
